The things we do

DH and I wanted to go and visit DD and family for the day.   This meant that the Girls were going to be shut in their (large) walk in run.

So. We got up early, so the Girls could have an hour's free ranging before we left.  We also prepared them some extra provisions  (on top of full feeders) to make up for missing the rest of their free ranging..

So, they have three feeders stuffed with lettuce and tomatoes
...some swede...
...and some corn in two automatic cat feeders, designed to pop open at about 4pm

I do wonder about myself sometimes!

  1. Wow, your girls have it made! Mine got some spinach today but that was it. As it's snowing they are stuck in their run too. Bummer!

  2. Wow what spoiled chickens! I love the idea of the timed feeders - do they suffer much beak damage lol?

  3. This was the first time I'd used them Jools, so the Girls didn't know what was in them. Will be interesting to see what happens *next* time! tee hee. H.
