Uplifting

Despite the disheartening stuff, there have been some 'achievements'.  Firstly, some sewing.

I wanted to make a lighter dressing gown, same style as the one I made before but using brushed cotton.  I bought 4m of fabric (cue eye rolls from DH when it arrived) from Ebay.  This fabric has been on my watch list for months, specifically with a dressing gown in mind.

I used the projector to project the pattern,  which was a bit of a challenge because some of the pieces were cut "on the fold" which corrupted the projected cutting lines a bit. Fortunately there is plenty of ease in the pattern.

I moved the belt loops up a bit on this one.  I'm short-waisted and the standard placing, which I used in my original pink fluffy version, was a bit too low.   Ironically, the standard placing wouldn't have been too bad in this version.

I did the whole thing in one go, and I am happy with the result.  I need to add a kam snap, and I'll do that one morning when I'm wearing the dressing gwn (and feeling better).

It's soft, light, and comfortable, and I'd definitely make it again.  It was the Compose Robe from Love Notions.
